This page explains what Saloon stores and who can see it. Saloon is an early-stage product and this notice is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we store

For a customer, that is your name, your phone number and your appointment history with the salons you booked. For a salon owner, that is your business details, your services, your team and your customers’ appointments.

What a salon can see

A salon sees the appointments booked with that salon, including the customer’s name and phone number so the shop can confirm the booking. A salon cannot see bookings, customers or services belonging to any other salon. This is enforced in Firestore security rules, not just in the interface.

What is public

Salon names, descriptions, photos, opening hours, service names, prices and durations are publicly readable by anyone, because they appear on the salon’s public page. Customer names and phone numbers are not.

Payments

Saloon does not process card payments and does not store payment details. A payment integration, if added, would be handled by a third-party provider.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@saloon.app. Note that a salon keeps its own copy of appointments booked with it, so we route those requests to the salon as well.
